The background of Lafayette Appliance Repair started in 1989, when I trained for a career in HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning). I spent several years in the trade and then in 1997, took a job with a local appliance repair company to help start their HVAC division.
In the process, I learned how to repair appliances. Coupled with my work for rental management companies, I gained a ton of hands-on appliance repair experience, learning how to quickly troubleshoot and diagnose technical, electrical and mechanical problems.
In the last 25+ years, the average appliance in your home has evolved from mechanical to computer-driven and the need for expertise in this arena has skyrocketed. Through continuing education and training, I’ve stayed current during this technology transition and can repair appliances with electronic boards, modules and special interfaces requiring advanced training.
The market continues to evolve and appliances are only going to get more advanced and as such, many now have Internet, BlueTooth and self-diagnosing capabilities and are part of your home’s IOT enterprise.
The way I operate Lafayette Appliance Repair adheres to the “golden rule” — do unto others as you’d want them to do unto you.
My method of doing business is simply focusing on what matters most, doing the job right, the first time, EVERY time, fairly-priced while providing exceptional customer service. My continual goal is to always provide high-quality, cost-effective repairs to my customers. If your appliance breakdown brings me into your life as a way to help you get your appliance back online, I’ve helped you — and that’s my personal definition of success and the reason I’m in this industry.
I also recently added the “Bob Jobs” feature to my website, which are photos and videos that will hopefully help you get to know your appliance a little more and to see some of the down and dirty and sometimes outright crazy situations I encounter as an appliance repair business owner. I’m not sure how the feature will evolved — stay tuned!
